Mark a foam extinguisher correctly with this 90mm polypropylene identification sign, fitted to the wall above the unit or directly onto its bracket.Foam extinguishers cover a wider range than a water unit. Fire and Rescue NSW's fire class chart lists foam against large Class A fires involving wood, paper and similar combustibles. The same chart lists foam against Class B fires involving flammable liquids such as fuel, oil and paint. That chart does not list foam against Class E fires involving energised electrical equipment. Check what the fire involves before choosing the extinguisher.

An identification sign and a location sign do different jobs on the same fire point. The identification sign sits directly above or on the extinguisher. It tells a person standing there which agent they are about to use. The location sign is larger and mounts higher, leading someone to the fire point from across the room. AS 2444 expects both on a compliant installation.Order one identification sign per foam extinguisher. A fire point carrying more than one extinguisher type needs a matching sign for each unit, not one sign covering the group.
