Located in Waterloo, New South Wales, the Waterloo NSW Project represents a significant development in the area, with a total project value of $299 million. This ambitious project was awarded to a joint venture between industry leaders John Holland and Mirvac, combining their expertise to deliver outstanding results in construction and development.

The Waterloo NSW Project demanded a comprehensive approach to safety and communication, given its scale and complexity. Recognising the importance of implementing robust safety measures, John Holland sought out strategic partnerships to ensure the safety of all personnel on-site and to streamline emergency response procedures.

As a trusted provider of innovative safety solutions, Checkpoint played a pivotal role in ensuring safety and efficiency at the Waterloo NSW Project. Checkpoint supplied over 60 Cygnus units, including the SMS Module, to John Holland for this project. These units were strategically deployed throughout the site with two Base Stations to provide real-time communication and emergency notification capabilities.

The Cygnus range offered by Checkpoint is renowned for its adaptability and reliability, making it the preferred choice for temporary wireless alarm systems in the construction industry. Key features of the Cygnus range include:

  1. Adaptability: Designed to work over long distances, underground, and in areas with dense concrete or steel frames, the Cygnus units ensure reliable communication in challenging environments.
  2. Scalability: The Cygnus range can connect up to 480 individual units in 15 different zones, providing flexibility for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  3. Advanced Cause and Effect Setup: The Cygnus units feature an advanced cause and effect setup between zones, ideal for complex projects where precise coordination of emergency response is essential.
