24W Weatherproof Bulkhead Emergency Light with Microwave Sensor
The bulkhead emergency light with sensor pairs a weatherproof fitting with an inbuilt microwave sensor. The light dims to standby and lifts to full output as people move through the space. That behaviour applies during normal mains operation. On a mains failure, the fitting switches to full emergency output for the rated runtime regardless of sensor state.The microwave sensor covers a 15m detection range. Hold time is adjustable from 2 seconds to 10 minutes, and standby output is adjustable from 0 to 50%. That range suits corridors, loading docks and external walkways, where lighting only needs full output while someone is present.
Built for exposed positions
An IP65 rating means the enclosure is dust tight and resists low pressure water jets from any direction. An IK08 impact rating means the body resists a 5 joule impact. That is roughly the force of a 1.7kg object dropped from 300mm. Stainless steel screw fixings hold up against corrosion better than plated steel in coastal or washdown areas.

Where a sensor fitting pays for itself
Standards Australia notes that AS/NZS 2293.1 sets the design and installation framework for emergency lighting, aimed at safe evacuation illumination.
