Emergency Light – Weatherproof Bulkhead

24W Weatherproof Bulkhead Emergency Light

This weatherproof bulkhead emergency light delivers 24 W of LED panel output. The enclosure carries an IP65 rating and an IK08 impact rating. It measures 315 mm by 315 mm by 98 mm and mounts to a ceiling or wall on the bracket supplied.

What IP65 and IK08 buy you

IP65 covers dust ingress and water jets from any direction. IK08 covers impact. That second rating is the one that matters in a car park, a loading bay or a corridor where trolleys and pallet jacks pass close to the wall.Exit signs mark the door. Emergency escape luminaires like this one light the path to it. AS/NZS 2293 sets a floor level minimum of 0.2 lux in general areas, averaging 0.5 lux, and at least 1 lux in stairwells. Those levels must hold for 90 minutes after mains failure. This fitting runs 3 hours.

Stainless fixings are not a detail

Every screw fixing on this unit is stainless steel. Zinc plated screws in an external bulkhead corrode. The seal then loses compression, water enters, and the battery fails quietly between discharge tests.Stainless fixings and a bracket-mounted body keep an outdoor fitting compliant in year five, not just year one.

Electrical and light source

A constant current driver holds output steady as the LED ages and as supply voltage moves. The LED source runs to 50,000 hours. The battery is lithium. This is a maintained fitting. It runs on the normal lighting circuit and switches to its emergency module on mains failure.

Ordering and service

We price this fitting per project. Send your fitting schedule or a marked-up floor plan and we will quote the run, spares included. The exit and emergency lighting range covers the exit signs that pair with it.AS/NZS 2293.2 calls for a monthly visual check and a six-monthly 90 minute discharge test, recorded and retained for seven years. SafeWork NSW expects a competent person to carry that out.
