SKU: ORI-34 Category: Brand:

Description

A wall-mounted trigger only helps if the injured person can reach the wall. The ORI-34 goes on the worker instead, as a wristband or a pendant. It connects to any enabled device or app user's phone within 100 metres. The alert it sends names the person and the device it connected through, so responders get something like "Sarah Smith, Nurse Call Trigger 4, Level 4, South Stairwell" rather than an unidentified alarm somewhere on site.

Who these are for

Lone and isolated workers first. Anyone who spends part of their shift out of sight and earshot of the rest of the crew: plant operators, night security, maintenance staff in plant rooms, surveyors, anyone working after hours. Then anyone with a known health risk who has agreed to carry one. That's a conversation to have properly rather than a device to hand out, but where the worker wants it, it's the difference between being found in five minutes and being found at shift change. In aged care, NDIS housing and clinical settings, the same device covers residents and staff.

Location comes from the network, not GPS

Worth being precise about this, because it changes where you place devices. The wearable doesn't know where it is. It reports the identity of the fixed device it connected through. So the accuracy of "where" depends entirely on how densely you've placed nurse call triggers and how carefully you've named them.Three consequences follow:
  • One fixed device per floor gives you floor-level accuracy and nothing better
  • Device names need a level and a location, not a number
  • A wearable outside 100m of any enabled device has nothing to connect to
If lone workers operate in an area with no fixed device inside 100 metres, add one. The wearable is only as useful as the network under it.

Battery life and the check you still need

Months between charges is long enough that people forget the device has a battery. Build the check into an existing routine rather than trusting memory. Toolbox talk, shift handover, monthly safety walk, whichever already happens reliably.Keep charged spares available so a flat unit gets swapped rather than left off.Tell us how many lone workers you have and where they operate, and we'll work out the wearable count and the fixed devices needed to locate them.
