Recessed Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 9kg

The recessed fire extinguisher cabinet sits flush in a wall cavity rather than projecting into a corridor or fire-isolated stairway. That flush fit suits architectural fit-outs. A surface-mounted cabinet in the same spot would break a clean wall line or narrow an egress path.Construction matches our metal surface-mount cabinet. Coated steel with a red finish, a full length piano hinge, and a lockable latch behind break glass. A 003 keyed lock is available for sites that prefer controlled access over break glass.

Recessing changes the install, not the rules

A flush cabinet still has to meet the same placement rules as a surface-mounted one. Fire and Rescue NSW requires a conspicuous, readily accessible position with a minimum 1000mm clearance. The front of the extinguisher must face outward so it stays visible. Confirm wall cavity depth against the cabinet's D230mm before committing to a recessed opening. Retrofitting a recess after the wall is built costs far more than checking the dimension first. For a surface-mounted option in the same steel and finish, our metal fire extinguisher cabinet uses identical hardware, with no wall cavity needed.
