Premium 2ft Emergency Light Batten – Weatherproof

Premium 2ft LED Emergency Weatherproof Light Batten

This 2ft weatherproof emergency light batten carries an IP65 rating and an IK08 impact rating. It runs 2 x 20 W switchable LED strips. Emergency output holds for 3 hours, against a 90 minute minimum in AS/NZS 2293. Stainless steel tamper resistant clips hold the body closed.

Snap latches, not screws

The body and the end caps open on snap latches. No screwdriver, no dropped fasteners, no cross-threaded plastic. That sounds minor until you price the labour on a six-monthly test round across forty car park fittings. Every one of them has to open for inspection, and every one has to reseal properly afterwards. A latch reseals the same way every time. A screw does not.

IP65 and IK08 together

IP65 covers dust and water jets from any direction. IK08 covers impact. Car parks, loading docks, wash bays, plant rooms, cool rooms and covered walkways need both. Most fittings sold into those spaces carry only the first.Stainless steel clips resist the corrosion that undoes a seal from the outside in. Tamper resistance also matters where the public can reach the fitting.

Switchable output and colour

Two 20 W strips switch independently, so one fitting covers two output levels. Colour temperature switches between 3000 K, 4000 K and 6500 K at the fitting.

Build and electrical

A constant current driver holds output steady as the LED ages. The source runs to 50,000 hours and the battery is lithium. Ceiling and wall mounting both work. SafeWork NSW requires a competent person to test and maintain emergency lighting. This is a maintained fitting. It runs on the normal lighting circuit and switches to its emergency module on mains failure. A plug-in microwave sensor is available as an option. We price this fitting per project. Send your schedule and we will quote the run.
