Premium 2ft Emergency Light Batten

Premium 2ft LED Emergency Light Batten

This 2ft emergency light batten is the short version of the same fitting. It measures 650 mm long, 75 mm wide and 65 mm high. It carries the same 20 W LED strip, the same 3 hour emergency runtime and the same AS/NZS 2293.3 compliance as the 4ft unit.

When 2ft is the right call

Length is about fit, not output. The 2ft suits a plant room, a store cupboard, a stair landing, a lift lobby, a switch room or a narrow service corridor. A 1210 mm fitting will not sit cleanly between structure in those spaces. It also suits a retrofit where the existing fitting is short and the ceiling is finished. You match the footprint instead of patching.Run the spacing calculation before you settle on a length. AS/NZS 2293 sets a floor level minimum of 0.2 lux in general areas, averaging 0.5 lux. Stairwells need at least 1 lux. Both levels must hold for 90 minutes after mains failure. Two 2ft fittings will often beat one 4ft fitting on uniformity in an awkward space.

Tri-colour on site

Colour temperature switches at the fitting between 3000 K, 4000 K and 6500 K. Warm for accommodation and front-of-house, neutral for offices and corridors, cool for stores and plant.

Build and electrical

The body and diffuser are impact resistant polycarbonate. A constant current driver holds output steady over the life of the LED. The source runs to 50,000 hours and the battery is lithium. The IP rating is IP20, so this one goes indoors. Ceiling and wall mounting both work. SafeWork NSW expects a competent person to test and maintain emergency lighting on a regular basis. This is a maintained fitting. It runs on the normal lighting circuit and switches to its emergency module when mains power fails.

Options

A plug-in microwave sensor adds occupancy switching on mains power. A weatherproof version covers external and wash-down positions.
