Description

This first aid responder station is a mobile safety trolley with an Orisent nurse call unit mounted to it. The trolley carries the first aid equipment. The Orisent unit sends the alert when a worker needs that equipment. Checkpoint Group stocks the trolley as a bare frame and builds it up to your specification.

Trolley

  • Medium or large frame, in green for first aid identification
  • Wheeled, so the station moves with the work front as the site develops
  • Polyethylene weatherproof cabinet, or supplied with no cabinet
  • Stocked bare and built up to order

First Aid Equipment Options

  • Small nationally compliant first aid kit in an ABS weatherproof enclosure
  • Large nationally compliant first aid kit contents for a large poly enclosure

See the full first aid and defibrillator range for kit contents.

Orisent Nurse Call Options

The station mounts an Orisent evacuation or nurse call unit. Five devices suit a first aid station.
  • Nurse call trigger, radio frequency (ORI-30), battery or mains powered with in-device charging
  • Nurse call trigger, cellular (ORI-33), which networks over an internal IoT SIM card
  • Wearable nurse call trigger (ORI-34), worn as a wristband or pendant
  • Nurse call light and siren (ORI-35), mains powered, which activates automatically when a trigger fires
  • Smoke detector (ORI-36) where the station also covers a fire risk

What the Alert Carries

A wearable trigger connects to any enabled device or smartphone app user within 100 metres. The alert reports against the device it connected to, so it carries the worker's name, the trigger, the level and the location.Emergency personnel accept or decline the call through the touchscreen control unit or the smartphone app, which confirms that someone has taken it. The trigger returns visual and audible confirmation to the worker who activated it.Every activation writes to the system log. Those logs support incident reporting and audit.

Radio Frequency or Cellular

Radio frequency devices build a local network between themselves using an internal radio chip. They run as a standalone system with no subscription, and each device suits a defined site where the units sit within range of each other.Cellular devices network through an IoT SIM over the cloud, which removes the range limit and suits scattered or remote work. Cellular units need an IoT SIM subscription. The touchscreen control unit needs an internet connection for real-time device updates. Most sites run radio frequency across the main work area and add cellular where the work spreads beyond it. Our wireless alarm systems guide compares Orisent and Cygnus side by side.

Fit-Out Options

  • Tamper switch on the cabinet door, which triggers the alarm when the door opens and flags both misuse and a live incident
  • Sticker kit for equipment identification
  • A4 aluminium snap frame for the site evacuation plan or safety personnel contact details
  • Reflective tape kit
  • Photoluminescent tape kit
  • Company logo sticker kit

Matching Stations

The same trolley platform carries a fire station and a spill kit station, so one site runs a single format across three hazards.Tell us the site layout, the crew size and whether workers operate alone or in sight of each other. We will specify the trolley, the kit and the Orisent trigger to suit.Request a specification

  1. Project Manager – Kane Constructions –

One of the standout features of this safety station is its mobility. As our building goes up, we can easily relocate the station to strategic locations on different floors, ensuring that safety equipment and resources are always within reach. This flexibility has been instrumental in maintaining a safe working environment as the project progresses.
