Metal Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 9kg

Metal Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 9kg

The metal fire extinguisher cabinet houses one 9kg extinguisher in coated steel rather than moulded plastic. Steel suits sites where impact risk or vandalism rules out a polymer cabinet. The red finish marks the cabinet as fire equipment from across a room.A full length piano hinge carries the door load evenly. That matters over years of daily opening on a busy site. The lockable latch sits behind a break glass panel. A 003 keyed lock is available for sites that want controlled access instead of break glass.

Fits AS 2444 without hiding the extinguisher

Fire and Rescue NSW confirms an extinguisher can sit inside a cabinet or enclosure. The front must face outward and the extinguisher must stay visible and accessible. The clear inspection window on this cabinet meets that test. A location sign still applies at the cabinet position, since the enclosure does not replace the signage requirement.

Choosing metal over ABS

Metal costs more than a moulded ABS cabinet. It takes forklift knocks and thrown objects that would crack plastic. For sites that do not need that durability, our single fire extinguisher cabinet in ABS covers the same 9kg extinguisher at a lower price.
