20W Emergency LED Oyster Light

The emergency oyster light covers open floor areas that a directional exit sign does not reach. The round, low profile body suits ceilings and walls. It fits foyers, meeting rooms and retail floors where a batten fitting would look out of place.A constant current driver holds the LED panel at a steady output through its working life. Output does not fade as components age the way it can on a cheaper driver. Design and manufacture follow AS/NZS 2293.3, the standard covering emergency luminaires and exit signs.

Placement follows the same lighting design rules as any fitting

Standards Australia notes that AS/NZS 2293.1 sets the design and installation requirements for emergency lighting and exit signage. The aim is an acceptable level of illumination so occupants can evacuate safely. A single oyster light does not decide compliance on its own. Coverage depends on the floor layout and the nearest exit sign. The fitting works as part of a designed system, not a standalone purchase.
