Standard Double Fire Extinguisher Cabinet – Red

This double fire extinguisher cabinet houses two 9kg portable extinguishers in a sealed polyethylene shell. Plastic does not corrode. The cabinet holds up on coastal sites, in wash down bays and around chemical storage, where a steel cabinet rusts through at the hinge first.A rubber seal runs around the hinged door. Two latches lock it shut. Two clear windows let a technician sight both gauges without opening the cabinet, which counts on a round covering dozens of fire points.Two internal straps hold the cylinders upright. The cabinet mounts to a wall.Fit a tamper switch to the door and connect it to a Cygnus SiteProtect wireless alarm system. Opening the door then raises an alarm across the site network. The cabinet becomes a monitored point. You learn that an extinguisher has left its position when it happens, not at the next inspection.Fire and Rescue NSW states that extinguishers need thermal protection where temperatures fall outside 5 to 50 degrees Celsius. Check the temperature range at the position. This shell is weatherproof, not insulated.External dimensions are 710mm high, 530mm wide and 250mm deep. Internal dimensions are approximately 680mm high, 520mm wide and 200mm deep.Fit compliant identification signage above the cabinet. A sealed cabinet hides the cylinders from the approach path.
