Cygnus SiteProtect First Aid Alert Nurse Call Point CYG54

The CYG54 is a wireless nurse call point that raises a first aid alert and nothing else. Press it and the alert sounds intermittently every eight seconds and registers on the control panel with the unit's location. There's no evacuation button on this device, so nobody can start a site-wide evacuation from it by mistake.

Single function

A device that only does one thing can only be used one way. In an office fit-out, a first aid room, a crib room or a welfare block, a first aid alert is the realistic emergency and an accidental evacuation would cost you a site-wide stoppage. Fitting a device without an evacuation button removes that outcome entirely.

Where the CYG54 suits the space

Site offices, amenities and welfare facilities, first aid rooms, and any indoor position where 85 dB(A) is enough and evacuation is triggered elsewhere. Keep evacuation devices on the escape routes and put first aid points where people work and rest. If a position genuinely needs both functions, the dual button CYG24F covers it.

How the alert reaches a responder

The panel names the device and its location so the first aid officer knows where to go without searching. Adding the SMS module through the CYG14-SMS control panel puts the same detail on a phone. Your first aid obligations

Regulation 43 of the model WHS Regulations requires you to prepare, maintain and implement an emergency plan, and Safe Work Australia's guidance requires that plan to make provision for medical treatment and assistance.
