Medium Single Fire Extinguisher Cabinet Clear

The medium clear fire extinguisher cabinet suits smaller extinguishers in tighter positions. Plant rooms, server rooms and compact retail fitouts all fit this size. A transparent polycarbonate lid shows the extinguisher, its gauge and its tag without opening the door.It takes a 4.5kg powder extinguisher or a 3.5kg CO2 extinguisher. That suits a spot where a full 9kg enclosure would crowd the wall. A lockable latch with seal shows at a glance if someone has opened the cabinet since the last check.

Sizing the cabinet to the extinguisher

Getting the enclosure size right matters more than it looks. A cabinet built for a 9kg unit lets a smaller extinguisher rattle around loose inside. That defeats the clamping and inspection benefit of the cabinet. Fire and Rescue NSW expects every extinguisher, regardless of enclosure size, to sit in a conspicuous position with a minimum 1000mm clearance around it.Service stations, factories and workshops suit this size well. If your site runs 9kg units instead, our large clear fire extinguisher cabinet uses the same build at the larger capacity.
