Cygnus Replacement Call Point Battery Pack 9V Alkaline BATP01

The BATP01 is the standard 9V alkaline battery pack for Cygnus wireless alarm call points. It arrives with the leads and the Cygnus power plug already fitted, so swapping a flat pack takes a few seconds and no tools. Each pack gives over 12 months of life in normal operation.

The panel tells you which device needs one

Cygnus control panels monitor every connected device for battery level and signal, so a pack approaching the end of its life shows on the panel before the device stops working. That turns battery replacement into a scheduled task rather than something you discover during a drill. Keeping spare packs on site means the swap happens the same day the panel flags it.

Holding spares against your device count

Devices installed at the same time tend to reach the end of their battery life at the same time, so a site that commissioned 30 call points in one week will see them fall due together. Work out your replacement volume from the commissioning date rather than replacing packs one at a time as they appear. Sites running long programmes often hold a proportion of the total device count as spares.

What this pack fits

The BATP01 suits the Cygnus call points across the range, including the 110 dB(A) evacuation call point and the 85 dB(A) version. Battery replacement and your emergency plan

Regulation 43 of the model WHS Regulations requires you to prepare, maintain and implement an emergency plan. Safe Work Australia's guidance on emergency plan duties requires the emergency procedures to be tested at a stated frequency, and a device with a flat battery fails that test.
