Architectural Aluminium Recessed Fire Extinguisher Cabinet

This architectural fire extinguisher cabinet is a made to order recessed unit from the Checkpoint 6000 Series. It suits commercial interior fitouts where a standard red box breaks the design intent.A 10mm aluminium flange surround finishes the wall opening. The flange gives the installer real tolerance on the cut. That counts when the cabinet lands in a plasterboard bulkhead beside a set door and skirting detail.The cabinet body is coated steel with heavy duty construction and a full length piano hinge. Specify a pull handle, a safety lock with breakable latch and a clear inspection window as the fitout requires.Sizes suit a single 2.5kg, 4.5kg or 9.0kg powder extinguisher. Sizes also suit a 3.5kg or 5.0kg carbon dioxide extinguisher. One extinguisher per cabinet.Custom sizes and finishes are part of the standard offer. Send the wall build up and the extinguisher schedule. We return a cabinet schedule that matches the fire services drawings.Fire and Rescue NSW recommends a minimum clearance of 1000mm around each extinguisher. Protect that zone on the drawings from joinery, planters and loose furniture, because the fitout usually fills it after handover.A recessed cabinet takes the extinguisher off the sightline. Identification signage above the cabinet then carries the whole job of marking the fire point, and our AS 2444 guide sets the heights. Specify the signs with the cabinets, not after handover.
