REV Ocean (United Kingdom)

Location: Norway
Project Value: N/A
The Cygnus Team worked in with Vestcom, a major wireless communication supplier in Norway and has supplied more than 25 of its Cygnus Wireless Alarms to protect the ship up until completion.
The units installed on the ship include 25 Cygnus Fire Call Point Alarms and a range of first aid, heat, smoke and water detectors. The alarm system also connects to a 3G Auto Dialler that allows site managers to programme up to 50 phone numbers of responsible persons in an emergency who are then notified by SMS if an activation or intrusion has occurred.
REV Ocean is the world’s largest superyacht build by the Norwegian yard, Vard Brattvaag. As a combined luxury liner and research vessel, it will accommodate cruise passengers and also scientists and innovators, who will explore issues including the impact of CO2 emissions on the oceans, plastic pollution, and sustainable fishing.
