The purpose of an evacuation system is to warn persons within the site of a fire or other potentially life threatening hazard. The audible and visual components of the system alert everyone present to immediately leave the building and proceed as quickly as possible to the evacuation area.
Commonly, an evacuation system consists a loud siren (or number of sirens) combined with strobe lights or other visual alert device. Visual strobe lights assist in very noisy areas, or areas where there may be persons with a hearing impairment or wearing PPE such as earmuffs. The Cygnus combined siren and strobe device has a high pitched audible tone, with the frequency designed to penetrate over normal construction/manufacturing operational noise.
The added benefit of the Cygnus evacuation system is it is entirely battery powered, meaning you can safely evacuate your site, even in a power outage!
The wireless functionality of the system means it is very easy to retrofit to an existing structure. as there a no cables or power supply that needs to be run.
